AC Hotel Level 7 Rooftop Mural – Raleigh, NC

The Level 7 mural, featuring Zinnia, the Greek goddess of hospitality, was one of the most challenging projects I have ever tackled as a professional mural artist in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is perched on the seventh-floor outdoor bar at North Hills, which meant no lift access and no easy ladder solutions. The summer heat made it even tougher and it became a true test of focus and endurance for any large-scale mural installation.
Despite the challenges, it has become one of my favorite works as a Raleigh mural artist. The design blends an earthy, desaturated color palette with an urban edge, using bold negative space and delicate floral forms. Honeybees, tied to both the zinnia’s role in pollination and a client connection, are subtly woven into the composition. There is even a hidden honeybee element tucked into the background. Visible from the street below, this North Carolina mural captures the mix of grit, elegance, and organic growth that defines my style and it stands as a true statement piece for the city’s growing public art scene.
